The Art Behind the Design

Every Daisies is painted entirely by hand in our Michigan studio by artist Barbara Downey, using a process she has refined over nearly 30 years. The daisy design extends from screen onto frame — painted as one continuous garden scene. No two pieces are ever quite identical. That’s not a flaw — that’s the point.

The Frame

The white distressed finish gives the Daisies Studio a soft sun-washed quality — like a garden gate weathered by happy summers. Applied by hand, worn edges reveal warm wood beneath. The Studio Series uses more substantial wood than our Classic Series — you’ll feel the difference immediately.
