The Art Behind the Design

Every Heart Swirl Jewelry Cabinet is painted entirely by hand in our Michigan studio by artist Barbara Downey, using a process she has refined over nearly 30 years. The swirling heart pattern is painted freehand — fluid, graceful, and entirely unique to each piece. No two pieces flow in exactly the same way. That’s not a flaw — that’s the point.

The Frame

The black distressed finish is applied by hand in our Michigan studio — wearing edges down to reveal warm wood beneath. Against the delicate swirling heart the dark frame creates striking contrast. At 2¾” deep the Cabinet mounts flush to your wall with two attached picture hangers on the felt-lined back.
