The Art Behind the Design

Every Sea Turtles Jewelry Cabinet is painted entirely by hand in our Michigan studio by artist Barbara Downey, using a process she has refined over nearly 30 years. The ocean scene extends from screen onto frame — painted as one continuous underwater composition. No two pieces are ever quite identical. That’s not a flaw — that’s the point.
