The Art Behind the Design

Every Swirl Jewelry Cabinet is painted entirely by hand in our Michigan studio by artist Barbara Downey, using a process she has refined over nearly 30 years. The scattered swirl pattern is painted freehand — light, spontaneous, and entirely unique to each piece. No two pieces scatter in exactly the same way. That’s not a flaw — that’s the point.

The Frame

The white distressed finish gives the Swirl Jewelry Cabinet a soft sun-washed quality perfectly matched to the delicate navy pattern within. Applied by hand, worn edges reveal warm wood beneath. At 2¾” deep the Cabinet mounts flush to your wall with two attached picture hangers on the felt-lined back.
