The Art Behind the Design

Every Twigs Jewelry Cabinet is painted entirely by hand in our Michigan studio by artist Barbara Downey, using a process she has refined over nearly 30 years. The flowing botanical pattern is painted freehand — bold and confident in execution, organic and natural in character. No two pieces flow in exactly the same way. That’s not a flaw — that’s the point.

The Frame

The weathered gray finish on the Twigs Jewelry Cabinet reveals something genuinely special — because this is a stain rather than a paint, the natural pine grain shows through completely. The cool gray tones of the frame and the deep navy of the botanical pattern feel made for each other — classic, sophisticated, completely harmonious.
